Green Goodness Smoothie Bowl

If you’re new to healthy eating or are just looking for a way to add more fruits and veggies into your diet then look no further! Smoothies are the easiest and most delicious way to boost your nutrient intake each day.
This is my go-to green smoothie recipe. It’s made with simple ingredients that most of you will already have in the fridge or can pick up from the supermarket. It’s the perfect green smoothie for newbies as it’s not overly green tasting. The crisp green apple and lime cover up the mild flavour of the spinach and the avocado makes it delightfully creamy. I love using this as a base for a smoothie bowl and topping it with granola + fruit + seeds for a nourishing breakfast. You can also add in your favourite protein/superfood powders for a boost & turn it into the perfect pre/post workout drink.

Green Goodness Smoothie
Serves – 1    Time – 5 min    Difficulty – EASY

INGREDIENTS
1 medium banana
1/2 green apple
juice of 1/2 a lime
1/4 medium avocado
a handful of spinach
1 cup coconut water
To serve
fresh fruit/ berries
granola
nuts/ seeds

METHOD
Roughly chop the banana + apple place in the blender with all the other ingredients. Blend until smooth & creamy. Serve in a glass or bowl topped with granola, fresh fruit + seeds.  If you want a to make a thick smoothie for a smoothie bowl use frozen banana instead of fresh and add a little less liquid.
